  • Looking at low-incident courses, possibly sharing with other districts.
  • Start with seniors, possibly juniors that can handle independent work.
  • Looking at online, hybrid, flipping and other formats.
  • Principals are going back to teachers to find one or two courses that could be shared.

Action Committees
Review where we are at (see November minutes below):
Action Committees work time
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaboration Survey Results (2017-2018)
    • The sharing of courses will be a boost to this area of collaboration, and the administration will help encourage it.
    • NASC will be looking at creating a training program in collaboration with the principals.
  • Innovation:
    • PD Flyer (PD on the Go) (T)issue #3 now available- Please share in your district!
      • (T)issue #3 (Slide 3 of the document/presentation)
      • Clarification on responsibility to distribute PD flyers is needed
        • How do we gauge effectiveness of these flyers? Are teachers reading them and using the information?
    • There is a need for NASC to coordinate a way to have people help other districts with tech needs.
      • What are the exact needs each district has
      • Who can present
      • Should we send out a survey that identifies specific technologies that people need help with? (Schoology, Google Suite, etc.)
      • How do we identify credible presenters?
      • How would requests be handled?
      • Possibly have each school generate a list with one or two people who are qualified to talk on a specific tech that would be willing to speak to other schools
  • Staff Development:
    • Everything looks ready for GGM 2019

Things to do:
  • Bring a couple of topics/people from your building that are willing to present to other schools. The focus is on EdTech topics.
