Schools Present: Barnum, Carlton, Cloquet, Cromwell, Esko, McGregor, Moose Lake, Willow River and Wrenshall.

Welcome and introduction from McGregor:
430 students in grades K-12. McGregor started out with 1.5 Mbps connection in the 90’s and stayed with that until 2008. At that time, they increased to 100 Mbps, which is their current speed. They are looking at increasing to 200 MB and possibly even 500 Mbps for next year. They added wireless to help promote a mobile learning environment, and are looking at adding more wireless access points this summer.  They have a 1:1 with Chromebooks for grades 4-7 that started at the beginning of this school year, and added grades 8 & 9 at the semester break. There is an upcoming project involving the purchase and cleaned up neighboring land to make way for more parking and a new entrance.

Discussion about EdCamps and how they work. Cloquet has run mini-EdCamps at staff meetings to introduce the concept. It was agreed to try this in our respective buildings.

Resource Sharing Update
Looking at adding to a Google Drive element to the NASC Schoology sharing. This would allow all schools to contribute resources regardless of their LMS platform. This will be setup and presented at the next meeting.

Next Meeting: March 17th, 12:30 @ Esko
