Possible donations Coordinator Position Discussed the reason that we would like to have a coordinator based on our discussion from last meeting. The title of chair and/or facilitator was discussed versus coordinator. Discuss was brought up about wanting to make sure that this position doesn’t take away from the power of the committee. Possibly starting small with organizational responsibilities and work up as needed. Superintendents will discuss at their next meeting. Shared PLC Times Those involved: Cloquet, Esko, Cromwell, Carlton Those not involved: McGregor, Moose Lake, Wrenshall, Willow River and Barnum Looking for ways to help promote this in all districts. Discussion about having it scheduled monthly. Cloquet will be sharing their model when it has been created. It would be nice to get all the topics distributed so that all districts are aware, even if they are not officially participating. MPCC There was a lot frustration shared by members about the lack of completed materials. MPCC is aware of our frustrations. Updates in Math came out recently. MPCC has started revisions on original courses. We would like to bring a representative from MPCC to a committee meeting. The purpose of this would be to express our concerns and to hear what is being done at their level. Focus for 2016-2017 Discussed using the MCA inservice day to get feedback for this committee. Shared PLC Concept MPCC relationship Next Meeting: September 22, 2016 @ Carlton October Meeting: October 27th @ Cloquet Middle School Library
