NASC committee members from several of the districts meet for the first time on Wednesday, November 19th in Esko.
Districts represented: Esko, Cloquet, Carlton, Cromwell-Wright, Barnum NASC: 1st attempt to bring districts together to share curriculum and staff development options. Spurred by the MPCC movement and ECMECC. Both are reliant on cK12. Board agreement on Vision, Mission, and Governing Vision: United transformation change of instructional practice focused on student achievement for NASC members . Mission: NASC will collaborate in the development of: Robust curriculum Enhanced professional development Shared and expanded resources Improved educational networking and communication Governing: NASC Superintendent Board will: Solicit a signed letter of support from each of the member District School Boards Designate a Director Start with one superintendent Reports to full NASC board monthly Develop a staff committee as NASC grows. EdCamp How do we get the word out? MLK inservice Present to staff Take this info back to our districts and introduce and get feedback. What do our districts want from NASC? How can we make curriculum/staff development easier and more efficient for our teachers?
